Maxxis Returns to Action at Hawkstone Park this weekend
Following a five week break in the calendar the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship powered by Skye Energy returns to action at the famous Hawkstone Park on June 7th. Hawkstone Park marks the fourth round of the championship and with the added excitement of former MX2 World Champion Jeffery Herlings competing there is sure to be some great racing. 

After three rounds of the Championship Shaun Simpson leads the MX1 class on his Hitachi Construction Machinery Revo KTM UK machine and has a 40 point lead over Tanel Leok on the LPE Kawasaki. Third place is the consistent Gert Krestinov on the Buildbase Honda who is closely followed by team mate Kristian Whatley who will be hoping to overcome a recent collarbone injury.  Brad Anderson will also be looking to improve on his current fifth place position.

In the MX2 Jeffrey Herlings will race his factory Red Bull KTM in the MX2 class along with EMX250 team mate Davy Pootjes Davy Pootjesand the British championship front running will all be hoping to challenge the former World Champion. It is Frenchman Steven Lenoir that is currently leading the MX2 Championship on Dyer & Butler KTM team, who has a 16 point advantage from popular Brit Max Anstie on the Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki. In third place is young talent Ben Watson, with Bryan Mackenzie and Adam Sterry hot on his heels.

Hawkstone Park also marks the third round of the Maxxis British Veterans Championship and Ryan Voase currently leads the championship by 11 points over Brian Wheeler and is a further 17 points ahead of reigning champion Phil Mercer. Nick Life and Terry House currently hold fourth and fifth places in the championship.

The action starts at 9am with the Qualifying sessions with the first of the main races off the line at 12.15pm. Hawkstone Park is located just off the A49 near to the village of Hopton using the postcode SY4 4NA.

Admission prices are £20 for Adults £5 for Children under 15 and Children under 5 are Free, Family Tickets are available at £45. Camping is £10 per pitch and open from Saturday the 6th June.
