Seymour’s Arena, Aston Tirrold, Sunday.

The North Berks Motor Cycle Club will host the opening event of the seven round ACU Luscombe Suzuki Leeds British Ladies and Girls Trials Championship at Seymour’s Arena, Aston Tirrold on Sunday. The Trial has attracted a record entry of forty three starters. In the number 1 spot will be World Enduro female champion Emma Bristow.

The Louth competitor is also the 2013 British trials champion. Emma rides against former champion Becky Cook in what is the highest number of adult competitors in her class. Bronwyn Palmer travels from Pert to compete. Add in sky diving Nikita Smith, football team player Danielle Whitham and former Class A champion Joanne Coles who retired while at the very top to train as a plumber. Nine riders contend the adult championship class.

The numbers are up in the Ladies Intermediate class as well as in Class A, B and C Youth. Isle of Man Police Officer Saskia Baxter ran away with the Inter class at Richmond last year. Can she repeat on Sunday? Maybe Harriet Shore and Charlotte Kimber may give Saskia a test as will Katy Bullock and Louise Canmom.

Class C is wide open as Alicia Robinson, on home ground, takes Beth Watling, Alice Minta, Gabby Whitham, Niamh Richardson and Megan Savage. Alicia’s sister Leah is back on two wheels in the Support class after her health scare two years ago.

Richmond’s Katy Sunter leads the field off at 10.31.
