Emma Bristow wins opening round of ACU Luscombe Suzuki Leeds Ladies and Girls Trials

  Louth international Emma Bristow won the first round of the ACU Ladies and Girls Trial championship event at sunny Aston Tirrold, Berkshire from Isle of Wight former champion Becky Cook and Matlock plumbing engineer Joanne Coles. 

 

Fryup’s Nikita Smith excelled in fourth place while Sheffield’s Katy Sunter and Richmond teenager Chloe Richardson were sixth and seventh.

  Class A went to Lincoln girl Louise Alford with an out of class Beth Waite, riding above her age group taking the third place. The Hurworth girl scored fifteen championship points. Woking girl Millie Ray rode her Sherco machine to fourth place scoring thirteen championship points.

  The real battle royal was in Class B where Sheffield’s Megan Savage headed Silsden’s Gabby Whitham by two penalties. Telford’s Alice Minta was third ahead of Didcot’s Alicia Robinson while Niamh Richardson and Beth Watling, both Richmond,  took fifth and seventh places. Hook Wood Class C contender Hannah Moore won her class from Consett youngster Amy Turpin.

 

In the non-championship classes Daventry housewife Jennifer Crabtree won the Support class from Sandra Cotton and Didcot teenager Lea Robinson.

  The championship series heads for the South Shropshire Motor Cycle Club’s second round at Hope Bowdler, Church Stretton on April 13.
