A total of 20 separate championships will be up for grabs next year with the UK's biggest quad racing club, NORA MX, after it rejigged its classes to ensure that its was catering for all ages, abilities and budgets.
As well as the usual categories, which includes the
ACU British Masters series, three new classes will be introduced, including a "stock" championship for 125 Yamaha Raptors, an Under 23 Class for experienced young riders and a 'Fun Cup' for novices.
Each block of racing will consist of six races, made up like this.
1. Experts – For experienced riders
Under 23 – For experienced riders under 23 at the first event. This will run within the Expert race
2. Clubman – For club level riders
Rookie – For riders in their first full year of adult racing. This will run within the Clubman race.
3. ACU Masters British Championship – For riders aged 35 years old or older during the 2014 season
Nora MX Masters A and Nora MX Masters B which will run within the British championship race.
4. EVO – For pre 2004 production machines
EVO Plus – For pre 2004 hybrid machines
Fun Cup – for novice riders on any race legal quad
5. 250 Youth – for riders from 11-16 years, including these classes
250 Open (14-16 years)
250 Modified (12-16 years)
250 Standard (11-16 years)
250 Stock (11-16 years)
150 Open (11-16 years)
6. 100/50 Youth for riders from 8-12 years, including these classes
150 Open - (9-12 years)
100 Modified (9-12 years)
100 Standard (8-12years)
125 Raptor (8-12 years)
50cc - (8-12 years).
With some classes regularly full last year, especially the 250 and Masters, riders looking to race with Nora next year are being urged to sign up for the championships as soon as possible to guarantee a ride and your preferred number. Last year over 250 riders competed with Nora throughout the season!
