Penultimate Eastern Centre 2 Man Championship heads to Great Cornard

The penultimate round of the Bowers Motorcycles 2 Man Championship took place recently at Kenton by the Stowmarket Motor Cycle Club and the results have set up a grand finale for the last round on Sunday 20th October at Tye Farm, Great Cornard being staged by the Sudbury Motor Cycle Club. 

The Diss pair of Adam Ranson and Mark Champion beat the current Championship Class leaders, Tom Braddock (Lowestoft) and Toby Morley (Woodbridge) with Stephen Revett (Stowmarket) and Lee Whitney (Diss) 3rd and Andy Tyler/Steve Mason (both Sudbury) 4th.

The Expert Class was a win for Michael Ridge (Stowmarket) and Paul Whitehead (Colchester) over Graham Mays/Nigel Ross (both Sudbury) who pushed current Contest leaders Phil Roper/Paul Belton (both Sudbury) into 3rd place.  Sudbury’s Stephen/Mark Green finished 4th relegating Contest contenders Martin Spence/Graham Lazzari (both Lowestoft) into 5th place, with Julian Mair/Andy Mason (both Sudbury) 6th and Jeff Sharp (Sudbury))/Tim Ford (Lowestoft) 7th

A win in the Clubman Class for Tom Sargent (Bury) and Ross Taylor (Diss) put them now joint leaders with Martin and Dave Stevens (Diss) who  could only manage 3rd on the day with the Stowmarket pair of Jake Gregory and Richard Squirrell taking the runner up spot. Sudbury members in the points were Dan Hunt and Colin Brand (Diss) 6th, Paul Webb and Stephen Howard (Woodbridge) 9th and Dean Curry with Duncan Griffin (Diss) 10th

The official Contest Standings are being collated and it is expected to show the three Class Titles are up for grabs at the last round on 20th October.
