Searle, Nicholls and Simpson to represent Great Britain at MXoN

On the Saturday evening of the MXGP Festival at Matterley Basin, Neil Prince, Team Manager of the Team GB squad announced the three riders for this year’s Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations. This event will take place at Teutschenthal in Germany on the 28th and 29th September.

Team Manager, Neil Prince announced that this year’s team would feature Tommy Searle alongside Jake Nicholls and Shaun Simpson.

The team line up will see Tommy Searle competing in the MX1 class for the third year in a row. Having competed in the MX1 class all season, Searle has produced a number of impressive results and come so close to finishing on the overall podium already this season.

Jake Nicholls will once again compete in the MX2 class and following his recent second overall finish at the British GP, Nicholls is in good form at the team prepare for the trip to Germany.

The final Open Class space goes to Scot Shaun Simpson whose results have been improving since his mid-season switch to the Yamaha. This year will be Shaun’s third time of representing Team GB, with his last being in 2009.

All three riders and the Team Manager feel confident in their current form that they will be able to challenge for a podium position having just missed out in recent years.
