Josh Waterman takes Victory as Amateurs race their dream at Matterley Basin

The action packed MXGP festival in Matterley Basin was the prime opportunity for amateur riders to take their claim to fame on one of the most phenomenal circuits on the Grand Prix calendar. With huge prizes up for grabs thanks to Monster Energy and STOCKTOC.IT amateur riders were sure to be in for a treat.

After claiming the victory in the qualifying heat, Josh Waterman was looking for a strong result in the final. The race started with Waterman taking the lead ahead of James Dodd and Jake Millward, but the race was unfortunately cut short following a heavy crash by Josh Waterman that saw the race Red Flagged. It was decided that due to Josh being the leader at the time of the red flag, Waterman would still be deemed the winner and received the £1000 prize fund thanks to Monster Energy, second place went to James Dodd with third place going to Jake Millward.

All three riders also received a Satellite Navigation System ‘Tom Tom Start 2’ thanks to STOCKTOC.IT who also awarded riders fourth to sixth with a Ebook Reader, seventh place with a Polar FT1 and riders eighth to twelfth with a Click 7 Lite DVD for Auto player.
