Triumph Racing’s Jamie McCanney secured overall victory at the first event on the 2026 Enduro GB calendar at the weekend, while Nieve Holmes and Rosie Rowett shared the spoils in the Elite Women category at the Jack Frost Enduro.
Rounds 1 and 2 of the ACU series were expertly hosted by Rhayader Motor Club at the Cwmythig Hill MX track in Mid Wales and challenging conditions throughout the weekend put both riders and machines to the test.
Two brilliant special tests that encompassed technical sections and demanding terrain, delivered top-quality racing and showcased what makes enduro such an exciting and rewarding sport.
Reigning British Enduro Champion McCanney was the class of the capacity field as he took overall victory. The battle for the remaining podium positions was closely fought, with the P.A.R Homes KTM rider Jack Edmondson taking second overall and the Motofit Sherco rider Jed Etchells third.
In the Elite Women’s class, current British champion Nieve Holmes of the ET James Sherco team and Rosie Rowett shared the top step across the two rounds, underlining the strength and competitiveness of the field in their category.
“The first two rounds of the season were a superb spectacle and we hope the competitiveness across all the classes has set the tone for the rest of the season,” Enduro GB championship manager, Neil Hawker, said.
“Rhayader Motor Club put on a fantastic event as they joined the Enduro GB calendar for the first time and I want to say a huge thank you to all the event staff, marshals, and medics for their hard work, professionalism, and support throughout the event. Their efforts behind the scenes make weekends like this possible.
