King Kellett storms to FIM Sand Races World Championship title
British sand specialist Todd Kellett delivered a career defining performance at the historic fiftieth edition of the Enduropale du Touquet Pas de Calais, racing to victory in the Moto class and securing the 2025 2026 FIM Sand Races World Championship crown in spectacular fashion.

Competing against a thirteen hundred strong field on the demanding French coastline, the Dragon Yamaha rider produced a near flawless ride across the gruelling three hour contest. Entering the final round with a fourteen point championship advantage, Kellett quickly asserted control at the front, turning an early deficit into a decisive lead before dominating the race to claim both the win and the world title.

The triumph marks Kellett’s first official FIM Sand Races World Championship following back to back World Cup successes in 2023 and 2024, capping an outstanding season in which his only setback came through a technical issue at the Monte Gordo Sand Experience earlier in the campaign.

Victory at Le Touquet also extended an extraordinary run of form for the 28 year old Brit, who secured a fourth consecutive win at the world famous beach race, one of the toughest and most iconic events in international off road competition. In cold and challenging conditions, Kellett maintained relentless pace from the opening laps, eventually crossing the finish line more than eleven minutes clear of his nearest rival after fourteen laps of the imposing fifteen kilometre course.

Kellett’s latest triumph at Le Touquet further cements his reputation as one of the sport’s most dominant sand racers, combining speed, precision and resilience to conquer one of motorcycle racing’s most unforgiving arenas and bring the FIM Sand Races World Championship title back to Britain.
