ACU Trail Bike LDT Championships return to the sporting calendar in 2026

After a period of absence, the ACU is pleased to announce the return of the ACU Trail Bike LDT Championships in 2026.

The series will be run across eight rounds, and will take the format of a Long Distance Trial. Events will cater for various categories of machine across five championship classes.

The Trail Riders Fellowship (TRF) will provide a 'TRF Trophy' which will be contested across an easy route with natural obstacles.

Mike Tizard, ACU Director and Interim Chairman of the Trial Commission, said: “We are delighted to re-establish the ACU Trail Bike LDT Championships. Long Distance Trials are very popular, provide a sense of adventure and are a good test of riding ability.

"We are also thrilled that the Trail Riders Fellowship is supporting the series with the TRF Trophy. This will allow those riders who are just entering the sport, or those that like a non-championship level ride, to compete and enjoy the experience.

"I'm sure the ACU Trail Bike LDT Championships will be an excellent addition to the motorcycle sport calendar in 2026 and we're looking forward to welcoming riders into the series."
