TrialGB is proud to confirm its calendar of British Championship events for the 2026 season.
Following the success of this year’s ACU British Trials Championships, organisers are sticking with the same format, which will consist of four event weekends and trials on Saturday and Sunday both scoring points. No rounds will be dropped in 2026.
Sam Connor will continue as Series Manager for the TrialGB series, while Matt Galway will undertake the same role for the Youth events. They will work together to ensure greater alignment under a single TrialGB brand, and a roster of sponsors will support all TrialGB competitions as well as Trials Des Nations and X-Trial Des Nations activities. The new TrialGB website will publish results, images and reports from all events.
Sam Connor said: “I’m pleased to confirm the format, dates and venues for 2026 so people can start making plans. Keeping the weekend format is logical because the feedback is that it works well for families and competitors, and I’m particularly pleased that both calendars will be visiting new venues in 2026. It’s important to keep things fresh and visit new terrain.
“I’m also excited to bring both series closer together under a single TrialGB banner next season. We’re expecting to see some of Matt’s competitors progress into our youth classes and the women’s championships. We want TrialGB to be one big family that’s supported by the same sponsors. Closer alignment is good for everyone.”
Matt Galway said: “I’m looking forward to working closely with Sam as the youth series continues to focus on developing young riding talent and fast-tracking that towards the top classes of TrialGB.
“Next season is already looking strong as we run events from Scotland to Devon and finish with another big finale on the Isle of Man. I’m hoping to welcome new girls and boys into the series as we travel to new venues and deliver another season that’s family-friendly and full of great energy.”
TrialGB and Auto-Cycle Union officials are putting the finishing touches to the 2026 TrialGB regulations. These will be communicated to competitors and organisers shortly.
Matthew Edwards-Wear, ACU Chief Executive, welcomed the confirmation of TrialGB’s 2026 dates and venues. He said: “Sam and Matt delivered fantastic championships in 2025 and I’m looking forward to seeing them build on that going forward. Taking both series to different venues is hugely important as it challenges our riders and helps them develop their skills so they can be successful domestically and internationally.”
