The Welsh Sports Association (WSA), the independent membership body for the sport and leisure industry in Wales, is pleased to welcome the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU) as a Full Member.
The ACU plays a vital role in advancing motorcycle sport, representing 23,000 licence holders, 10,000 volunteer Marshals and Officials, and 400 member clubs across 20 centres, while issuing up to 2,000 motorcycle sport permits each year.
“We are delighted to be joining the WSA and to be able to work with the WSA and wider stakeholders to benefit our organisers who run many successful events within Wales each year,” said ACU CEO, Matthew Weir. “We can also bring our knowledge and expertise to the WSA, which other members and stakeholders can benefit from.”
As the collective voice for the sector, the WSA provides leadership, advocacy and access to key business and governance services. Strengthening relationships with sporting bodies across the UK is a core priority for the ACU, supporting sustainable growth, strong public affairs engagement and the long-term future of motorcycle sport particularly in Wales, a prominent hub hosting events such as the Enduro GP and home to numerous clubs and stakeholders.
