Day 4 of the 2025 FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) in Bergamo, Italy, brought another mix of challenges and highlights for Team GB across all three trophy teams. The riders faced a demanding schedule of repeated and new tests, including flowing grass tracks, two stony riverbeds, and a spectacular cross test with panoramic views over Lake Iseo. After four intense days of racing, the whole squad remains in good spirits and fully focused on tomorrow’s final full day of enduro competition.
For the Men’s World Trophy Team, Jack Edmondson delivered another standout ride. He capped off the day by clocking an impressive 7th-fastest scratch time on the final test, finishing as the top British rider. Jack continues to ride in a strong rhythm, keeping things smooth and fast across the board. Dan Mundell endured a more difficult day, losing ground due to some costly mistakes but is fired up to push harder on Day 5. Harry Edmondson benefitted from changes to his bike setup, which improved comfort and translated into stronger results. Meanwhile, Alex Walton battled through shoulder pain to put in determined performances, showing grit to keep competitive times despite his injury. The Men’s Trophy Team placed 7th on the day, maintaining 7th overall.
In the Junior World Trophy, the three riders were tightly matched once again. Sam Davies and Sam Hughes finished just one position apart in both the junior standings and overall, even slotting in directly behind Walton in the overall rankings. The pair will head off together tomorrow, a morale boost as they continue to push as a unit. Callum Hughes remains close behind and consistent, just four places back in the junior category. The Juniors finished 8th on the day and hold 8th overall.
The Women’s World Trophy Team showed more positive steps. Nieve Holmes bounced back after a tough Day 3, mentally stronger and putting in strong times on the riverbed tests to finish 8th overall individually. Elizabeth Tett enjoyed the day, excelling in the cross tests and soaking up the atmosphere at Test 5 overlooking Lake Iseo. Katie Walker endured a difficult run, when fixing a rear brake problem cost her time and resulted in a 10-minute penalty. Despite this, her determination remains high heading into Day 5. The Women’s team placed 5th again on the day and remain 5th overall.
Tomorrow, the riders face the same set of special tests but in a new order, making for a long day of over seven hours on the bike. With the terrain now familiar, confidence is high within the camp. The incredible support from fans both on the ground and back home continues to fuel the team as they push into the final stretch of this year’s ISDE.
