Day three of the 2025 FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) brought fresh challenges and new opportunities for Team GB as the riders tackled a brand-new set of special tests in the Bergamo region. With more off-road sections in the loop, the change of terrain was a welcome shift from the road-heavy first two days. The tests held up brilliantly throughout the day, even when revisited late on, and the atmosphere was lifted further by the passionate Italian crowds alongside familiar British supporters.
The Men’s World Trophy Team delivered another strong performance. Jack Edmondson once again showed his consistency with another 23rd overall finish, making smart decisions within the tests that paid off and building confidence as he gets to know the terrain. Dan Mundell also had a solid day, climbing the ranks despite some costly mistakes, while Harry Edmondson impressed with steady progress and composure, continuing to be a positive presence in the team. Alex Walton had a more difficult day but is looking ahead confidently to tomorrow, with stony riverbed tests that should play to his strengths. The team finished the day 7th overall.
For the Junior World Trophy Team, Sam Davies and Callum Hughes put in straightforward, consistent rides with strong times, keeping team morale high. Sam Hughes was also riding well until being held up by another rider in the final test, but still came away with a respectable result. The Juniors maintained 8th position on day three.
In the Women’s World Trophy Team, it was a mixed day. Nieve Holmes endured what she described as a “character-building” day after a heavy collision early on, followed by further crashes and mistakes, but battled through with determination to take 11th overall. Katie Walker also lost time with crashes, though she remains strong after three full days of racing. Elizabeth Tett enjoyed a smoother day, feeling confident and riding well in the new conditions. The team remains 5th overall heading into the second half of the week.
Tomorrow sees a mix of repeated and new special tests, including two challenging stony riverbeds and a spectacular cross test overlooking Lake Iseo, which promises both a technical challenge and unforgettable scenery for the riders.
