The 2025 TrailGB Youth Championship reaches its thrilling conclusion this weekend on the Isle of Man, marking the end of a successful debut season for Series Manager Matt Galway, who stepped into the role earlier this year. After overseeing well-run and well-received events at Earl Shilton and Mansfield, Matt is now looking forward to what promises to be a spectacular season finale.
Bringing fresh energy, and a deep passion for the sport, Matt has already made a meaningful impact in his new position—working closely with clubs, riders, families, and officials to ensure smooth operations and a positive experience for everyone involved in the youth championship.
Reflecting on the season so far, Matt shared:
“It’s been a fantastic experience stepping into the role of Series Manager this season. Earl Shilton and Mansfield were both brilliant events to be part of, and I’ve learned a huge amount in a short space of time. I’d like to thank the ACU Trials Commission for appointing me to this role – it’s an honour and a real opportunity to give back to the sport. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who’s supported me – from club organisers to officials and, of course, the riders and their families.
A special thank you to Donna Fox and Sam Connor for their ongoing support and guidance – it’s made a real difference as I’ve found my feet in this role. As Series Manager, I’ve had the opportunity to oversee a variety of areas, from event logistics and communication to supporting the riders and clubs on the ground. I’m really looking forward to working even more closely with the ACU Trials Commission over the winter months to help better support the Youth Championship.
The youth riders are the foundation of our sport, and I’m dedicated to doing everything I possibly can to give them the platform, structure, and encouragement they need to thrive.”
With the final round of the 2025 TrailGB Youth Championship taking place this weekend, the series heads into its conclusion under strong leadership—well-positioned to continue growing and evolving for the benefit of the next generation of trials talent.
