Gilberts Big Day Out at Round 3 of the ACU Ultra Lightweights at Three Sisters

Round 3 of the ACU Championship at the PDMC Club meeting at Three Sisters Circuit was by any standard an exciting meeting in varied conditions.

Karl Gilbert on his first outing this year dominated the results with two well deserved wins.  Karl won the first race by just under two seconds from Paul Livesey who was well ahead of William Greenway, last year’s champion Morgan Fulop had a DNF to make his 2025 championship chances  more difficult

Race two saw Karl Kilbert and Paul Livesey clear the field for a very exciting neck and neck finish with Karl taking the win by a hairs breadth from Paul.

Livesey now leads the Ultra Lightweight championship by 29 points from William Greenway who is closing in on him with Morgan Fulop snapping at their heels. The two wins for Karl Gilbert propel him into a fine eight place on the table

Paul also leads the Street Stocks from William Greenway and Morgan Fulop

Phil Atkinson continues to lead the 50cc class, Dave McGlone nibbles away at Steve Coalville’s 26 pt lead in the 80-85cc class. Erica Lawson and Bethany Caldwell are putting pressure on Wag Scott’s early lead in the Ladies championships

The next round of the Championship is at Darley Moor racetrack on the 3rd of August
