Woodbridge DMCC is excited to confirm the return of the Foxwood Trade Holeshot Award at the Motul MXGB ACU British Motocross Championship at Blaxhall on Sunday, June 15th. This crowd-favourite initiative, made possible by local business Foxwood Trade, continues to raise the stakes for the UK’s premier motocross event.
A long-standing supporter of the club since 2015, Foxwood Trade is the trade-focused arm of Foxwood Ceramics, based in Kesgrave near Ipswich. The family-run business, founded in 2018, supplies a wide selection of quality wall and floor tiles at trade prices. The company is owned by former motocross rider Matt Cottrell, a passionate advocate for the sport and father of James Cottrell, a former European competitor and current MX1 contender in the British Championship.
The Foxwood Trade Holeshot Award adds a surge of excitement to motocross’s most adrenaline-pumping moment—the gate drop. With the UK and Europe’s top riders competing in the MX1 and MX2 classes, each race carries a £100 cash prize for the first rider through the opening corner. This year, the Youth 125cc class is also included, offering £50 per race to the fastest starter in that category.
