Welsh trials always without exception have that special ingredient that throws up surprises and the Glyn Jones prepared trials course at Glanawmor Isaf Farm venue near Pencader could again maintain that tradition. Mr Jones and his deputy Mr Dave Bushin have prepared a three lap twelve section course that will test all four classes.
In the Class C standard wheel category Kirkbymoorside youngster Jack Peace rides Towy on maximum points - three starts, three victories. Port Talbot’s Ben Heycock and former champion Toby Martyn, from Truro will test Peace as will Bradford’s Keiran Child.
In the Medium Wheel class Newton Abbott rider Billy Green is the class act this season. Camarthen’s Chad Grant Jones has Championship Points and aims to add to his score.
Yorkshire’s Edward Earle will be wired for sound so expect his father Iain to be calling the moves to maintain his dominance in Class D medium wheels. Also watch for fiery Shropshire girl Alice Minta, only eight, but she means business.
The youngest class will be a battle royal. Essex boy James Marshland has scored fifty four points to head the medium class ahead of Mansfield’s Jamie Williams and the much travelled Lochaber contestant Ben Dignan. Expect Aberbargoed’s Cynan Jones to ride well on home ground.
The Club are happy to accept local support from Jones Brothers, Henllan Ltd who are a civil engineering company based near Llanelli who will underwrite cost.
The sat nav reference for the venue is SA39 9AR and and is signed from the A485. Start time will be 10.30 am. Overnight camping permitted.
