PREMIER MOTOCROSS HITS TIVERTON MOTO PARC THIS WEEKEND FOR RD 5
This Sunday the Phoenix Tools Premier Motocross Championships gets back in to action as it reaches its halfway stage in the series with round 5 taking place at Tiverton Moto Parc. With the very hot weather in the South West over the last week or so, organising members will be out to make sure that the track will be in prime condition to produce some top class racing as usual.

In the Expert Open class it is still Luke Hill who leads the Championship with a 30 points advantage over Jamie Skuse, but Skuse will no longer be on a 250f as he has recently been signed up to ride a 450f for the Apico Suzuki team and judging by his performance last weekend at the Maxxis British Championship he will be a big threat. Missing from the Expert class with be last year’s Champion john May, who has recently had an operation on his ACL and MCL knee Ligaments and also Maarten Cremers who took a nasty fall at last weekend’s British and broke his leg below his knee. Other experts will include the likes of Luke Mellows, Darren Shears, Jackson Evans, Sam Chapman, Kelvin Townsend, James Kensington, Bill Farleigh, Luke Blanchard, Jake Shipton, Harry Snow, Janson Day plus many others.

In the Tyremarks Junior Championship its Ryan Blee who heads the proceedings by 55 points from Jake Owen with Aaron Austin a further 46 points adrift of Owen in 3rd, but there is plenty of other talent do deal with including Olly Jones, Ryan Hooper, Toby Harvey, Harry Mitchell, Lougas Maggio, Matt Holcombe plus many more.

In the Over 35 Championship it’s still Jason Fraser who leads the Championship from Mark Wilde by just 19 points with Jon Lock just a further 22 points behind Wilde in 3rd, but starting to shine recently is Welshman Rob Lewis who was overall winner at the last round and will be looking to close the gap even more at Tiverton.

In the Over 40's class it’s Paul Ayres who leads the standings by 59 points from Kevin Edwards with Alan Packer just 5 points behind Edwards in 3rd, but as with the other groups there is plenty of other talent on hand that could make things change. In the Over 50's class it is Tom Lowe who is top of the standings and he will be hoping to come away from Tiverton with his Championship lead extended. Tiverton Moto Parc has easy access and will be signposted off the M5 at Junction 27 then off the A361 towards Samford Peverell with the first race at 10-15. There are still spaces available in all classes, so if you fancy a ride give Mel Martin a call on 01626 365335)
