The boys are back in town at Tong this Sunday January 8th, David Knight MBE, Championship leader Johnny Walker and X-treme Supremo Graham Jarvis are all confirmed for this weekends Eddy's X-treme Enduro, along with Sagar, Bolton, The Hemmingway Brothers and MX boys Jamie Law, Jamie Lewis and 2 stroke MX star Matt Moffat, the line up is more than impressive however, due to recent niggling injuries Dougie Lampkin has had to withdraw from round 2 of this years official ACU Extreme Championship.
The track build is hard underway by the experienced fasteddyracing.com crew who are at Tong working hard! Fasteddy quoted "having spoken with Knighter this morning we are excited to have him back for round 2 along with Jonny and Graham, I think the spectators will be in for a real treat, also thanks to all the riders for there support and we hope to see you all at Tong this Sunday".
Other news is Jeff Pakosta's (Throttle Entertainment) will be filming footage from the event which will go onto an extreme dvd available in late 2012, Throttle Entertainment has filmed the likes of Erzberg and is a great addition not only to the race but to extreme enduro as a whole.
THE COURSE
Will again be a fantastic natural extreme circuit with rocky gullies, descents, climbs along with hard/easy options and some interesting new sections added to test all riders to the max, the same idea for spectators (which worked so well in January) will be a signed walk way which will take spectators to the most extreme parts of the course for easy and exciting viewing.
With the weather forecast now ok for the weekend time qualifying is set to start at 9.30 am Sunday morning followed by a youth race and the main 2 hour event starting at 12.30 pm. RACE FORMAT
9.30am - 10.10am vets and clubman timed qualifying.
10.20am - 11.00am pro/experts timed qualifying.
(Riders fastest two laps combined for start position and points for championship)
11.15am - 12.15pm 1 hour youth race (13-16 years)
12.30pm - 2.30pm main 2 hour Eddy's Extreme Event for all adult classes.
2.45pm - 3.00pm Awards presentation for all class winners.
Adults £10, under 14's and OAP's £5, No parking charge.
