Details of classes and dates of events of the above Championship have now been confirmed and any further information regarding this successful Championship can be obtained from the ACU. The European Championship is seen not just an achievable aim for many of our riders, but also very much as a stepping stone between the National British Enduro Championship and the World Championships
Some information:
Classes: A new U 20 yrs of age class for riders on 125cc two stroke machines has been introduced, and competitors can contest this class with only their National ACU Enduro licence
The following UEM Championship classes are unchanged, but these requite a UEM Enduro licence, either Annual or One event (details from ACU)
Junior E1, Junior E2/3, Senior E1, Senior E2, Senior E3, Veterans, Women.
Rounds: Rd 1 - 26/27th May - Arsie, Italy
Rd 2 - 21/22nd July - Paikussse, Estonia
Rd 3 - 28/29th July - Ogre, Latvia
Rd 4 (3 day Final) 17 -19th Aug - Krompachi, Slovakia
The 3 day Final comprises of not only the 4th round of the Championship, but is also the European Nations Trophy for:
National Teams, National Junior, National Club, National Veteran and National Women’s teams
All teams consist of a max 4 riders (3 to count) and it is a stipulation that at least ONE rider in any team has contested at least ONE previous round of the European Enduro Championship in that year.
British ACU riders have achieved tremendous success in the European Championship over the past few years, and in 2011 Greg Evans became the Senior E2 European Enduro Champion and Danny McCanney became Junior E2/E3 Champion as well as finishing runner up in the overall Championship.
The ACU U23 National Junior Team also won the UEM Junior Trophy De Nations.
