ACU uses Facebook to reach its members
Over recent years the internet has taken a stronger grip on peoples day to day lives, Social Networking Sites such as Facebook and Twitter have rapidly grown, becoming one affective ways of communicating with your target audience.
The ACU has recently decided to create Facebook pages for each of the sporting departments as another method to reach out to the member of the ACU. The main aim for the creation of each of these groups is to make the ACU more accessible to its members. The fan pages will allow the members of the ACU to quickly access contact details relative to certain departments.
Each of the groups will be used to keep members up to date on the latest news, events and important information such as venue and date changes. The new Facebook pages will also be used to supply race results from the main ACU Championships such as the BEC, BSB, Maxxis British Championship, British Masters Grass Track event and many other events during the course of the season.
The ACU will also being moving towards joining Twitter as another method of highlighting events within the ACU and at ACU Events.
