Key responsibilities of the role will include responding in a timely manner to media enquiries and managing the information to be disseminated to external agencies in a professional manner.
Writing and issuing Press Releases in response to media enquiries and monitoring and evaluating positive and negative media coverage regarding the ACU.
Working with the ACU Sport Committees in order to maximise media exposure for the various disciplines of the sport. Developing the ACU’s reputation by sourcing and delivering positive stories for the media.
Having an involvement with the production of in house magazines and newsletters as required, and influence the design, maintenance and content of the ACU Web site in order to maximise its appeal to a youthful membership and to ensure that the information presented is kept up to date.
The successful candidate of post graduate age, who may well have studied journalism will be able to demonstrate a keen interest in motorcycle sport at all levels and disciplines. The ability to drive is essential as the post involves outside work especially in attending events at weekends.
