Michael Brown World Junior Champion

The Trials and Enduro Committee are pleased to congratulate Michael Brown aged 20, on his success at Hawkstone Park and subsequently lifting his first World Championship title – the FIM World Junior Championship.

Hawkstone Park saw Brown take the World Junior Championship with two rounds still to go, Andorra, 2nd September and Belgium, 23rd September 2007.  With nerves obviously not affecting Michael he took the title with a victory in front of a home crowd and his 7th win from the 10 days of Championship competiton so far this year and on a machine that was resplendent in an all-new Union Jack livery!

Further British success in the Juniors were Sam Haslam, who responded brilliantly to the home support with an excellent second place, with Alexz Wigg, 5th, Lee Sampson, 7th and Richard Ellwood, 10th.

The World Youth Championship also saw a Briton on the podium, with Ross Danby claiming his 4th Runner-Up place of the season, still seeking his first win and European Youth Champion, Challoner finishing 6th.

The adult Championship, unfortunately failed to give Dougie his 100th World Championship win, but an excellent hard fought 5th place, backed up by Graham Jarvis 8th and James Dabill’s 9th, certainly gave the supporters reason to cheer.

With these results in the Youth and Junior Trial competitions, plus former Trials rider, Tom Sagar taking his first Junior World Enduro win, the Trials and Enduro Committee can confidently look forward to this success transferring through to the adult Championships in the near future.
