Peter Boast Appointed as New Promoter of the ACU British Flat Track Championship

The Auto Cycle Union ACU is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Boast as the new Promoter of the ACU British Flat Track Championship, marking an exciting new chapter for the series and the continued growth of Flat Track racing in the UK.

A long time advocate of the sport, Boast brings extensive experience both on and off the track, having previously been involved in running the Championship between 2005 and 2013, as well as remaining active as a competitor and operating his own Flat Track School.

Speaking about his appointment, Peter Boast said:
“Thank you to the ACU for supporting Flat Track. It is a motorcycle sport that I have been passionate about for a long time. I would also like to thank Richard Hollingsworth for doing a fantastic job running the ACU Championship last year and for helping me take over the reins. The sport has moved on a lot since I was last involved in running the Championship from 2005 to 2013. With the FIM Flat Track World Championship making big strides, I feel we need to back that up with a strong ACU Championship. I have been fortunate to stay involved in the sport as a competitor and through my Flat Track School, and I hope that myself and my team will work closely with the ACU to create a fantastic Championship.”

ACU CEO Matthew Edwards-Wear said:
“I am absolutely delighted with the appointment of Peter Boast as the new Promoter of the ACU Flat Track British Championship. Peter brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, and his passion for the sport is second to none. Flat Track racing is an incredibly important discipline within the ACU, playing a vital role in developing riders’ skills and strengthening the wider motorcycle sport community. I am confident that under Peter’s guidance, the Championship will continue to grow and thrive. I would like to put on record my thanks to Richard Hollingsworth for the tremendous job he has done with the Championship in its initial year, and for the help and support he has given Peter during this transition period.”

Further details, including all dates and venues for the upcoming season, will be announced soon. Fans and competitors are encouraged to follow the @acubritishflattrack social media channels to stay up to date with the latest news and announcements.
