Competitors, teams and officials will have greater access to event-based information in 2026, thanks to the introduction of discipline-specific channels on the ‘Sportity’ digital infoboard app.
The ACU is keen to embrace new forms of technology to make the sharing of important documents and updates easier from next season and the arrival of ‘Sportity’ – which is free to download on iOS and Android – is a key part of its strategy.
The ‘ACUMXGB’ channel will be the first to launch on the platform. It will contain the latest British Motocross championship documentation, including event regulations, timetables, electronic briefings, and results.
Other national championships will also have dedicated ‘Sportity’ channels in due course. A log-in password will be distributed by the ACU to relevant competitors, teams and officials.
ACU Motocross Commission Co-ordinator, Sonia Goggin, said: "We’ve never had a central information portal before so the arrival of Sportity is great news for everyone connected to MXGB. It will make accessing key series and event information much easier and will eliminate the need to search through e-mails, WhatsApp groups or text messages."
MXGB Series Director, Paul Irwin, added: "We have a huge amount of information to share across the series and at each individual event. Having a dedicated MXGB channel will be invaluable, giving stakeholders one central place for all the relevant information. A single, go-to platform is clearly the way forward."
