The ACU is proud to launch a brand-new initiative designed to bring more women and girls into motorcycling, starting with Trial in 2026!
Unveiled during last Friday’s Women in Sports Day, KICKSTART is being led by ACU Trial Commission Member Simon Welch together with the ACU Women’s Ambassador Pippa Laverty. This programme is all about empowering female riders, creating a welcoming pathway into the sport, and building confidence at every level.
What IS KICKSTART?
A weekend format built for every female rider whether you’re a complete rookie want to try or already riding and want to sharpen your skills.
Saturday: TRAINING DAY
A relaxed, supportive coaching day where riders can learn, progress, and have fun, no pressure, just riding!
All abilities welcome. Every female rider has a place here.
Sunday: SKILLS-IN-ACTION DAY
A friendly, non-championship competition where you can put Saturday’s learning to the test. It’s not just about trophies it’s about experience, confidence, and community.
Why KICKSTART?
Because women belong in motorcycle sport and we’re building the pathway to make sure everyone who wants to ride, CAN ride.
🏁 Trials is just the beginning… additional disciplines will follow soon as the project expands across the ACU.
Details Coming Soon
Dates, venues, and sign-up info for the 2026 rollout will be released shortly. Stay tuned!
