Seven up for Todd Kellett as he wins 2025 Weston Beach Race

Storm Amy did its best to halt the 2025 staging of the Weston Beach Race, but it couldn’t keep the good team at RHL Activities and the army of volunteers who showed up in the early hours of Sunday morning down.

With the event site being closed down on Saturday due to the severe weather, Sunday saw all of the track action crammed in with races shortened, so everyone got their crack at Weston Beach race glory.

The Main Adult solo race was shortened to 1 and half hours from its usual 3 hour slog fest, and it was the one and only Todd Kellett who took the victory making it his seventh Weston win racking up a whopping one minute and 36 second advantage over SuperEnduro World Champ Billy Bolt who was in turn was over 2 minutes ahead of third place rider Dan Thornhill of Chambers Racing.  There was a great performance in fourth by Shane Carless, with David Knight MBE fifth, and taking the Over 40 title.

Triple European Women’s Motocross Champion Lucy Barker would take the Ladies class honours ahead of Ria Truman in second and Christina Pillar in third.

Over in the Vintage class, Mark Tottle was the number 1, with Harrison Crumb second and Matt Coles third.

British & European Quadcross Champion Harry Walker added another title to his growing 2025 list with victory in the Quad and Sidecar race, beating 2024 champion Jamie Morgan by 1.21 minutes, with Carl Bunce rounding out the podium in third.

Harry Stevens rode fantastically to win the 4X4 Quads ahead of Steve Atkins, with Lathan Pritchard in third.

Alun Davies and James Ferguson would retain their Sidecar title, fending off Daniel Lawry & Sam Wilkinson, who were second, with Brett Wilkinson and Joe Millard third.

In the 2 Man quad class, it was Oliver Shafer and Olly Martin who took the honours ahead of James Kerruish and Matt Thorpe in second, and Jack Naylor and Elliot Downes were third.

Reece Jones won the Youth 250 class, taking the overall and category number one spot ahead of 125cc victor Ryan Waggott.

Max Corke was third in the race and 2nd in the 250’s with George Corke joining him on the 250 podium with fifth in the race overall.

Charlie Richmond was the second 125cc rider, finishing fourth overall, with Rees Jones third in the 125s.

Victory in the 85cc race went the way of Casey Lister, who pulled out a massive 1 minute and 18 seconds lead over Jenson Severn in third and Archie Butterfield in fourth. John Slade was the top Small Wheel rider.  Mylie Evans was the Ladies 85cc Champion.

Preston Chorley won the 65cc race, notching up a big 1 minute and 6 second lead over second-placed Blake Marks-Bracey, with Freddie Dennis making it onto the podium in third!
