With just under three months now until X-Trial Leeds takes place on Saturday 24 January 2026 at the First Direct Bank Arena, Leeds. Yorkshire’s own Harry Hemingway is already grabbing the headlines thanks to his standout performances at the opening two events of the new series, that will return to the UK for the first time in ten years early next year.
Nineteen-year-old Harry, who captured the coveted Trial2 World Championship earlier this year to add to the Trial3 World title that he won in 2022, has already shown both his pedigree and potential outdoors and is now making his mark on the indoor stage at World level too.
Having automatically qualified for the opening five rounds of the 2026 FIM X-Trial World Championship thanks to his Trial2 success, Hemingway has not taken long at all to establish himself at the sharp end of the competition up against his more experienced rivals at the season opening events in Andorra and Madrid, Spain.
At round one Harry qualified for the final and ended up fourth on the night to open his account with a solid showing, a result he backed up at the second round with another top five finish having only narrowly missed out on making it to his second final in a row.
Harry will now travel to La Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean and Ponte di Legno for the next events before Xmas, as he does his best to keep himself in contention ahead of his home round in Leeds in January where he will be joined by his seventeen year old brother George, who will be making his debut in the series having already twice won the Trial3 World Championship in 2023 and 2024.
