Warm Up/Qualifying
The weekend see’s two races in one day so we drop a practice session. Thirteen outfits went on track managing 6 laps before a red flag came out and stopped proceedings after the start/finish line into Gerrards. Thankfully, Thomas/Sigsworth are both ok. Crawford/Hardie took pole ahead of Kershaw/Gibbons in the battle for the championship by 00:00:279 seconds. Wild cards Ramsden/Stell took pole in the cup. Race 1
The lights went green and everyone dropped their clutch and away they went. The race for the title was under way - all Kershaw/Gibbons had to do was follow Crawford/Hardie and finish in the top 4 in order to win the Championship. The battle for 3rd in the Cup was hard fought between Schofield/Astley and Hegarty/Ludlow, with Hegarty no more than 1 second behind Schofield. Hegarty/Ludlow did try a move into Gerrards but it never worked and they stayed behind the pairing. Clarke/Johnson had an issue and pulled up on the exit of Gerrards dropping 7 places but reclaiming 4 places before the end of the race. Lockey/Binns had a lonely race but put in some fantastic laps and finished 4th overall. Moore/Cole, Baker/Dawkins, Ilaria/Saunders and Morphet/Ryder had a great long race battle with no more than 2 seconds over all of them. Illman/Wheeler brought up the rear of the pack. Moore/Cole unfortunately were a DNF whilst Crawford took the win taking the title fight to the last race. Race results

Race 2
Kershaw/Gibbons got a fantastic start from P2 and took the lead. Ramsden/Stell went up the inside and took P2, Lockey/Binns also tried their luck and made a move for P3 but Crawford held them off whilst Schofield/Astley moved into P5 with Hegarty/Ludlow hot on their tails. Hegarty fired around the outside which gave him the inside for the second half of Edwinas. Ramsden/Stell darted up the inside into the hairpin and the move came off to take the lead. Crawford/Hardie got an awesome run out of devils elbow setting up a move into Gerrards. Crawford fired his way up the inside of Kershaw and he took P2. Crawford then darted up the inside of Ramsden into Edwinas but Ramsden pulled the cut-back out of the bag and powered up the inside. Hardie could almost touch Stell, they are that close! Crawford/Hardie then again made the move up the inside to the hairpin and made it stick. Further behind there is a 2 second gap between Moore/Sigsworth, Baker/Dawkins, Ilaria/Saunders and Morphet/Ryder before Moore/Sigsworth unfortunately retired their bike.
The battles were happening all around the track for a perfect last race of the season. Ilaria/Saunders got the power on out of Edwinas and pulled a move up the inside of Baker/Dawkins making slight contact to get the move done. Schofield/Astley were nose to tail with Hegarty/Ludlow trying everything possible to get passed. Hardie had a cheeky wave to the crowd as Crawford slid through Edwinas. Lockey/Binns tried to catch Kershaw but it was a lonely race even with their fantastic pace this weekend. As Crawford/Hardie & Ramsden/Stell finished, Kershaw/Gibbons took the flag to become FSRA British F2 Champions.
Hegarty/Ludlow took the flag in the Cup but the finish line saw Schofield/Astley secure P3. Both classes battled right to the end which made for an exciting day of racing. Sadly Clarke/Johnson were a DNS following their earlier engine issues. Race results
