Jurby Report - Final ARA Isle of Man Championship Round

TT regular Jamie Cringle won his second Isle of Man ACU Centre solo road race title at a damp and windy Jurby Motordrome on September 14.

He only required a single top-five result from the two open capacity races to be confirmed as champion, and he did that quite comfortably with a brace of second places behind vice-champion Rory Parker.

Illy Quayle and 2025 Manx Grand Prix newcomer Grant Thomson were also well in the mix, but the championship decider was always a two-way contest between Cringle and Parker.

Mikey Evans was not able to match the pace of the Honda Fireblades in the championship races, but he scored a win and a second in the Post-Classic events on the 1996 750cc SRAD Suzuki to secure the title ahead of the Honda 600 of race two winner Lex Geval.

Grant Thomson went off like a scalded cat in the first Supersport race on his 600 Kawasaki, but Kyle Casement let him go, safe in the knowledge that two top-three finishes would be enough for him to take the class championship on his 765 Triumph.

Sean Crone dominated both Lightweight events on his 400 Kawasaki, with Sam Bowers first of the CB500s in each to end the season one point behind the non-riding Will Corkill.

Young Crone, only 16, made it four wins with a similar double in the Clubman/Novice class on the Manx Legends Racing R6, but Liam Wood won the overall championship. Close rival Alex Galloway’s challenge ended because of mechanical issues with his R6.

Thomson and Geval were close in the first Pre-Injection 600 class, followed home by Redmond’s twin-cylinder Aprilia 660, but the winner-takes-all finale went to Geval, with Thomson retiring on the final lap.

Seasoned campaigner Darran Creer and teenager Aaron Redmond had a good scrap in the concurrently run Single, Twin, Triple class, with the title already secured by the non-riding Francesco Faraldo.

Creer was first across the line by little more than two tenths of a second in the opener.
