Get ready for an awesome weekend of MX racing as the S Briggs Team GB gears up for the Farleigh Castle Vets MX at the historic Somerset circuit on September 13th and 14th. This Evo motocross event has been a highlight of the calendar for over a decade, showcasing some of the finest talent in the sport and a step back in time to the world of Evo racing.
With the S Briggs name being synonymous with the sport for many years they are throwing their hat in the ring entering not one but TWO teams into the 2025 Farleigh Castle Vets MX team race.
Team one is a really strong team spearheaded by Mark Eastwood. A fan favourite, Eastwood is a name synonymous with British Motocross and the world MX scene. He has worn many hats in the sport across the years including former factory Honda rider, MXON team manager and industry guy. Born into the sport as son of British motocross legend Vic Eastwood (who was the leading character in many a Farleigh Castle story) the former MXGP rider is taking to the gate once again and still enjoys racing for fun, but you know it all gets serious when he goes to the line on the number 49 Honda.
On the number 50 machine is West Country journeyman racer Adam Chatfield. Chatfield has made a name for himself with impressive achievements, including multiple titles and consistent podium finishes at prestigious events. He has raced Mini O’s, AMA, and ArenaX – Brazil, and was also the first-ever winner of the British Arenacross title. In 2024, he competed in the Honda Cup for the S Briggs team. Known for his exceptional racing and determination, Adam’s competitive spirit and experience make him a formidable contender on the track.
Next on the team roster is Jim Davies. He was a former factory TM rider for nine years and a Red Bull British 2-stroke champion in 2009. He also boasts ACU British 125 GT cup champion in 2013, 2014 and 2015, so he is no stranger to racing a two-stroke and runs the number 51 plate when the gate drops on September the 13th.
The second S Briggs commercials entered squad is managed by team stalwart Fred Barrett who is no stranger to both National and International MX competition,
The number 52 is Welshman (and verified nutter) Alan Pearce from a well-known and awesomely fast MX family. Pearce is former pro Lee Pearce’s brother; he will be sure to be putting it at the sharp end.
The number 53 is Kieran Genge, from the south coast and racing his familiar CR 500- Genge is a regular at the vet and evo races and is sure to hold up his part of the squad.
The number 54 needs no introduction.... Ashley Greedy made a name for himself as a crazy fast schoolboy whose skills have put him at the sharp end of the Arenacross series, renowned for his aggressive, take no prisoners racing style he is the friendliest Welshman you could wish to meet off the track (just don’t line up in a dash for cash race with him and expect to be friends after). Greedy is an out an out racer and will do everything in his power to be at the sharp end.
Don’t miss your chance to witness this action-packed weekend of motocross.
Tickets are available online and with a lineup of incredible racers. Farleigh Castle Vets MX promises to be an unforgettable experience for fans and riders alike.
