The ACU is pleased to confirm that Brett Wilkinson/Joe Millard, Mike Hodges/Ryan Henderson, and Stuart Brown/Scott Grahame will fly the flag for Team GB during the upcoming FIM Sidecarcross of Nations event at the end of September.
All three crews will proudly wear the red, white and blue shirt of Great Britain when they travel to Heerde in Holland on 28 September to do battle with ten other nations – all represented by their strongest sidecar motocross riders and passengers.
Long-standing Team GB Manager Dan Chamberlain – a man that’s ridden for his country on six different occasions at the FIM Sidecarcross of Nations – is hoping this year’s team can deliver Team GB’s best-ever performance on foreign soil.
“The line-up we’ve chosen is hugely talented and I think this year’s event represents one of our best chances of taking victory,” he said. “For the last two years, we’ve missed out on winning by a single point each time. So, in 2025, the message is simple: we’re only interested in winning!”
Matthew Edwards-Wear, ACU Chief Executive Officer, said: “We’re honoured to be once again supporting Team GB for the Nations event in Holland and we’re excited to see what Dan’s chosen line-up can achieve against some stiff competition. Having come so close for the last two years, it would be fantastic if our riders and passengers can take the overall Nations crown. I know everyone at ACU House in Rugby will be following the team’s progress carefully.”
Dan’s pick – Brett Wilkinson and Joe Millard
“We’ve gone for Brett and Joe because they’re just about to win the British Championship for a fourth time and are currently sitting third in the world championship standings – only 20 points off the lead. They’re a top team and Brett always goes really well at the Nations. He always puts maximum effort into his bike and has a great team behind him. Him and Joe were my number one choice for this year’s event.”
Dan’s pick – Stuart Brown and Scott Grahame
“I’ve picked Stuart because he's second in the British Championship and is a veteran of the sport. With this year’s event being in Holland, there’s going to be deep sand to ride in. Stuart brings a lot of experience that will help in those conditions. With his passenger Scott, he’s had an ACU Sidecarcross licence for 22 years, but I’ve never been able to pick him before. After waiting for a while for a really good bike to come up, he’s found one with Stuart and this will be his first time competing for Team GB. I’m really excited to send him to Holland.”
Dan’s pick – Mike Hodges and Ryan Henderson
“Mike has been chosen because he’s in great form and, in 2025, he’s made his best start to a Grand Prix season since he first started riding. For his passenger Ryan, this is only his third season of competition, but I think it’s good to send someone that’s so new to the sport. Competing in Holland at Sidecarcross of Nations will be a superb experience for him and will only push his development on even further.”
Before travelling to Holland, the Team GB contingent still have four important race weekends to tick off, with the final British Championship event being held at Wakes Colne on 10 August, and three Grand Prix events scheduled to run in Latvia, France and Germany.
