Expert Class Thrills

In the Expert class, local Sudbury MCC Member Eddie Belton continued his remarkable unbeaten streak in Eastern Centre solo and two-man events this season. Belton's perfect record of four first-place finishes secured him the top spot, marking another victory in the Expert class since upgrading from Clubman. Jack Berry consistently challenged, earning second overall with results of 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd. George Eustace secured third overall, demonstrating grit with finishes of 3rd, 5th, 5th, and 4th.

Super Final Spectacle

The Super Final saw riders staggered at the start, adding a strategic dimension to the already fierce competition. Championship rider Ben Clark, starting last, demonstrated exceptional skill and tactical prowess. Clark meticulously worked his way through the field, navigating past back markers with precision, to ultimately claim his overall victory and fifth first-place finish of the season across all events. His calculated approach paid dividends, proving his mastery of the Enduro Cross format.

The competition throughout the evening was fierce, with riders pushing their limits across a challenging course. The "Spectator Straight" proved to be a highlight, offering maximum visibility for the hundreds of onlookers as riders tackled a series of formidable obstacles. Giant tyres, an intricate log matrix, demanding log jumps, and a punishing rock garden asked difficult questions of every competitor, providing exhilarating moments for both riders and fans alike.

This year's Enduro Cross, held in memory of the late, great Jim Aim who did so much for the sport, continues to be a popular event on the ACU Eastern Centre calendar, promising even more thrilling action in the future.
