The Southern 100 Road Races would like to place on record a thank you to King of the Roads for the overwhelming success of the first official live broadcast of the Southern 100 Road Races this year.
For the first time in its rich and roaring history, the Southern 100 was streamed live to a global audience, bringing the high-octane action from the Motor Isle Billown Course directly to homes across the world.
The results were astonishing. Viewers tuned in from all corners of the globe including Angola, North Macedonia, Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, New Zealand, and Australia proving that passion for real road racing is a universal language.
George Peach, Chairman of the Southern 100 Club, said:
“We’ve always known the Southern 100 has a special charm, but to see it resonate so strongly with fans across the globe in our first year of live coverage has been incredible. It opens the door to huge possibilities in the years ahead and gives us the opportunity to showcase our unique event to a global audience.”
Libby Hurdman, Producer at King of the Roads, added:
“We’ve always believed that real road racing deserves a global stage and there’s no better curtain-raiser than the Southern 100. Seeing fans in places like Angola and Argentina watching live from Castletown felt like we’d bottled a bit of Manx magic and sent it round the world. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s only just beginning.”
With this triumphant debut, Southern 100 Live has set a new benchmark and both Southern 100 and King of the Roads are already plotting how to expand, elevate, and evolve the offering in 2026 and beyond. Think more cameras, more coverage, more interviews and more chances for fans to feel like they’re part of something extraordinary, no matter where they are.
King of the Roads are currently running an offer on the Southern 100 footage, you can watch all of the races back for just £4.99/€5.99/$6.99.
