With only three weeks before VMXdN Foxhill, the greatest Vets motocross event in the country (dare we say the world), and arguably the biggest event on the British MX calendar opens its gates at midday at the iconic Wiltshire Grand Prix Foxhill Moto Parc circuit on Thursday August 21st just off junction 15 of the M4 near Swindon, the names keep on dropping thick and fast.
The teams lining up in the VMXdN International Team Race are still being announced and give a true depth of talent (as it is in every one of the nine groups on track) as the top riders in the world prepare their classic two strokes for the battle over the August bank holiday weekend.
Team Isle of Man will be a podium threat for sure with the multi-talented, Danny McCanney (who will run number 10). McCanney is a world-class enduro guy who cut his teeth on the rough motocross circuits on the island. With multiple British and World enduro championships to his name, the hilly Foxhill circuit will offer no dramas to the talented Manxman.
Rocking the number 11 on the beautifully built YZ 250 is Josh Spinks, who is no stranger to the British MX scene, a hard charger Spinks will be sure to get the bit between his teeth and get a result on the cards, don’t be worried about that.
The third member of the team is Matty Lund who will be on the number 12 machine, the team ended up one step away from a podium position on 2024 and are sure to want to improve on that result in 2025.
The annual VMXdN Foxhill is a four-day MX festival celebrating everything that’s great about the golden era of Motocross, the 90's and 00's. There is a lot going on over the four days with a sold-out trade area, with industry heavy hitters on site! Food and beverage vendors, the Range Show’N’Shine powered by Motoverde bike show on Friday and entertainment across the weekend, including podcasts and rider interviews with the legends on site. For 2025 the rider list is a veritable who’s who of former greats all lining up to race including Ben Townley, Brad Anderson, Christophe Pourcel, Tommy Searle, Carson Brown, Phil Nicoletti, Alessio Chiodi, Ryan Sipes, Davide Philippaerts, Elliott Banks-Browne and Doug Dubach to name just a few, and that’s not including the legends only there to watch and catch a cold beer when the racing action is over, the list seems endless.
With camping spaces traditionally at a premium - the advice is to book early to avoid disappointment.
Booking your tickets in advance online not only speeds up access to the site and reduces the queues to get in but is also the most cost-effective way of securing tickets.
