The fifth round of the 2025 British Quad Championship made its debut at a brand-new venue this year – School House MX, proudly presented by the NETT Club.
This was a much-anticipated event not only for its championship implications but also for the exciting promise of a fresh track, untouched by quads until now.
A New Track for a New Chapter
School House MX was a revelation.
The NETT Club had done a sterling job creating and preparing a completely new layout – a perfectly sculpted circuit boasting flowing lines, technical twisty corners, and some impressive jumps. The track conditions on Saturday were nothing short of superb, offering a balanced challenge to all age groups, from enthusiastic juniors to seasoned adult competitors.
Saturday’s club rounds saw the full range of riders take to the course, and the feedback was unanimous – the track was a hit. Riders praised the variety it offered, with fast sections for throttle-heavy overtakes and tight corners that tested precision and control. It was a showcase of the track’s potential, setting the stage for a blockbuster Sunday.
Calm Before the Storm – British Championship Sunday
Sunday greeted the paddock with calm skies and a quiet sense of anticipation. This was more than just another round – reigning champion Harry Walker had the chance to clinch the 2025 British title. And he wasted no time in setting the tone.
Qualifying
Walker was on fire from the outset, laying down a blistering qualifying lap of 1:55.6 – a full second faster than his closest rival, Dafydd Davies, with Murray Graham rounding out the top three. The reigning champ made a clear statement: he was here to finish what he started.
Race 1
The opening race saw a textbook start for Harry Walker, as he launched off the line to take the holeshot, closely followed by Murray Graham. But once in front, there was no catching him. With surgical precision and relentless pace, Walker dominated the race from start to finish. Dafydd Davies managed to climb into second, edging out Murray Graham who settled for third. It was a strong showing from all three, but Harry’s performance stood a class apart.
Race 2 – The Weather Turns
Race 2 delivered early drama as Murray Graham snatched the holeshot and led the opening laps. However, Walker and Davies had other plans. Both riders pushed hard, eventually passing Murray Graham, just as the weather began to change.
What started as a perfect day quickly descended into chaos as heavy rain moved in mid-race. The pristine track rapidly transformed into a slick, treacherous battlefield. Puddles formed in corners and ruts began swallowing tires. But in true champion form, Harry Walker remained composed and pushed through the worsening conditions to take his second win of the day. Dafydd Davies again finished runner-up, with Murray Graham once more in third.
Safety First – Racing Called Off
As the rain continued to pour, track conditions became increasingly dangerous. The NETT Club, prioritizing rider safety, made the difficult but responsible decision to cancel the remaining races of the day. While disappointing for both riders and spectators, it was a call that underscored the professionalism of the organisers.
Championship Decided
Despite the early end, the results stood, and with two dominant wins under his belt, Harry Walker was officially crowned the 2025 British Quad Champion – another well-earned title for one of the sport’s finest talents.
Adding to the celebrations, young Louie Holt sealed his place in the history books as the Under-21 British Champion, a fantastic achievement that highlights the bright future of quad racing in the UK.
Final Podium – Round 5
1🥇
Round 5 at School House MX will be remembered for its fresh venue, high-level racing, and a championship-defining performance from Harry Walker. While the weather may have brought things to an early close, the weekend still delivered plenty of action, emotion, and milestones. With a successful debut for the new track, and two British champions crowned, the event was a powerful testament to the strength and spirit of the quad racing community.
Let’s hope for clearer skies in the rounds ahead – but rain or shine, the British Quad Championship continues to thrill.
