Team GB Women claim Bronze at ISDE
The last day of the ISDE is a motocross based special test with the fastest riders from each class lining up against each other, for this year the track was based on a go cart track, crossing the tarmac multiple times and one long straight to really test the riders ability.

Again, Danny McCanney the only Trophy rider lined up with the rest of the E3 riders. Danny had a good start and was running 3rd place behind Italy’s Rudy Moroni and Australia’s top rider and eventual overall winner Daniel Saunders. Danny spent the whole race battling with Moroni but finished 3rd in E3 and 11th quickest overall.

Danny has had a brilliant 6 days despite his slower start on day 1, he eventually finished 2nd E3 and Jed Etchells was in the same race as Danny due to also being an E3 rider. Jed had a mid-pack start and struggled to make passes, but still had a good time and was 39th quickest.

Alex Walton had his best result of the week in the final motocross, Alex was in the fastest E1 race with the likes of Josep Garcia. Alex’s time put him 24th on the day! A ride to be proud of.

The Women all raced together, Jane was the leading Brit and was sitting comfortably in 3rd until a small crash cost her a couple of places and finished 6th. Nieve and Rosie spent a lot of the race glued together chasing each other round and pushing each other on to a pair of top 10 finishes.

A massive shout out to the Women’s team for finishing 3rd overall in the team classification and on the podium in their first attempt at the event! Led by team manager Mick Seward, Jane, Rosie and Nieve should be incredibly proud of their results this week.
