The month of motorcycling at Donington Park heats up this weekend (15-15 May), with more two wheeled action from No Limits Racing.
A schedule of 25 races is expected for the two days, with Saturday’s highlight being a six hour endurance race, while 18 sprint style contests will be held on Sunday.
Saturday’s endurance thriller will see the riders perform a Le Mans style start, with the riders running to their bikes from the side of the track, mounting them and then starting the race, in a style now hardly seen in motorsport. Teams of up to four riders will do battle here, with either one bike per team, or a bike per rider with the team operating in tag team-style! The winners will require the right combination of speed, tactics, racing nous and a bit of luck to emerge on top in what should be a fascinating contest.
Before that, there will be six races on Saturday, with action from series designed to introduce newcomers to the world of motorsport, including the Metzeler Newcomer 600 and 1000, the TSGP for factory produced two-stroke bikes, the Pirelli Super Series for 600cc and 1000cc machines, as well as further action from the No Limits Cup and Pre Injection Cup, with races over eight laps.
Those series will return to action again on Sunday, with each racing three times during the day, again over eight laps, with 18 races in total.
With an open paddock, spectators this weekend will be able to get up close to the riders and teams as they prepare for action, while the infield is open, offering some of the best motorsport views in Europe.
Tickets will be available for purchase upon arrival at the circuit priced at £17 per day or £30 for the full weekend. For more information, visit www.donington-park.co.uk.
