Donington Park will host a huge schedule of 48 races this weekend (9-10 April), from the British Motorcycle Racing Club (BMCRC).
With over 380 riders expected to compete across the weekend, the action is likely to be frantic, with qualifying sessions and 24 races scheduled for each day from the world’s oldest motorcycle racing club.
Series competing this weekend include the debut of the ACU Team Green Junior Cup, which is a series for 13-18 year-old racers looking to make their name in the sport and follow in the footsteps of the likes of BSB aces Danny Buchan and Mason Law who followed a similar career path.
The big bikes with 1000cc capacity will do battle in the MRO Powerbikes and Clubman 1000s, while newcomers to the sport will compete in the Rookie 600s and 1000s, and the EDIasia Formula 400 and Rookie 400s.
The evocative sounding Thunderbike UK and Thunderbike Extreme series will also be in action, while the daredevil competitors of the F1 and F2 Sidecars will provide entertainment aplenty.
Racers on a budget will battle it out in the Freshdrop BMZRC 250MZ series, with further competition coming from the Supersport-style Respro MRO 600, Minitwins and classic machines from the 1980s and 1990s of the DFDS Yamaha Past Masters.
On track action starts just after 9am on both days with racing commencing at 11.40am on Saturday and 9.35am on Sunday. There are 24 races scheduled for each day with each series competing four times across the weekend. Tickets are available upon arrival at the circuit for £17 per day or £30 for the full weekend.
