Race Organisers Saddened at Passing of Long-Time Race Official
Southern 100 Racing, organisers of racing on Billown Course, on the outskirts of Castletown, Isle of Man, home of the Southern 100 were saddened to learn of the sudden passing of long-time supporter and race official Joe Mylchreest who died on Tuesday 13th October, aged 91 years.

From Colby, close to the Billown Course, Joe was Deputy Clerk of Course at the first meeting in 1955 and continued in that position until he took up the mantle of Clerk of Course in 1961 and remained as C of C for the Southern 100 until after races in 1976, when the present incumbent Phil Taubman took over the reins in 1977.

All involved with the races on the Billown Course pass on their sincere condolences to Joe’s wife Jane, his children Bob, Judy, Sandi and Hayley, his close family and friends at this sad time. R.I.P.
