All Systems go for Foxborough Enduro on 17th May

It is all systems go for round three of the 2015 G H Motorcycles/Husqvarna/Eastern Centre Enduro Championships this Sunday 17th May. 

The venue is at Foxborough Quarry Sible Hedingham Essex being staged by the Sudbury Motor Cycle Club with the first session for Clubman and Sportsman Classes starting at 10am and running for two hours while the second session starts at 1pm for the Championship and Expert Classes and runs for 2.5 hours.  

Leading the Championship Class after two rounds is the British under 21 Enduro Champion Brad Freeman on maximum points of 40 however only residents within the Eastern Centre are able to win the Title so on 32 points is Aston Bird (Woodbridge) past Champion who has in the past few years been riding Moto Cross while nine times Champion and current Champion Chris Hockey and Jamie Roper (both Sudbury) are locked together on 23 points.  Further down the order is Jason Morland (Halstead) 16 points, Sam Toy 12 points and Stevie Roper past three times Champion (both Sudbury) on 11 points. 

The Expert Class is a lot closer this year as last year’s Winner Lewis Bond (Lowestoft) was upgraded to Championship Class and see Will Hughes (Braintree) riding in this Class for the first time is leading the Class on 27 points followed by Rob Blackman (Castle Colchester) 24, Alex Barkshire (Diss) 23, Harvey Mutton (Woodbridge) 21 and Ben Alexander 20.  Last year’s winner of the Clubman Class Ross Taylor has been unable to ride in the Expert Class due to an injury. 

The event sponsor Gavin Hockey (Sudbury) is leading the Expert Veteran Class on 37 points ahead of last year’s winner Mark Chapman (Diss) who is on 33 points.  Close behind this duo are Phil Roper (Sudbury) 30, John Bishop (Lowestoft) 24 and Graham Lazzari (Lowestoft) and Paul Spurgeon (Woodbridge) both on 17. 

The experience Martin Stevens (Diss) is joint leader of the Clubman Class with Alex Rampton (Sudbury) who turns 17 four days before the event while they are being followed by Ryan McDonnell (Sudbury) 23, Rob Aldridge (Diss) 22 and Adam Durkin (Diss) 17. 

Kevin Gore (Norwich) leads the Clubman Veteran Class on 35 points, followed by Dean Curry (Sudbury) 26, Wayne Fulcher (Diss) and Richard Squirrell (Stowmarket) both on 20 and next Andy Peck (Sudbury) 19. 

The father of David & Martin Stevens, Clive Stevens (Diss) leads the Clubman Super Veteran Class on 37 points, with Adrian Rickwood (TBEC) 26, Steve Finch (Braintree) 24 and last year’s winner Andy Mason (Sudbury) 20 although he has only ridden one round.
