This Sunday August 3rd the Phoenix Tools Premier Motocross Championship moves back in to Devon to a really fast flowing track which is Garlands Moor, Nr Holsworthy for round 7 in the series.
In the Expert Open Championship its still defending Champion Luke Hawkins on the Phoenix Tools Rocket Honda who heads the proceedings from team mate Alex Snow, but moving up in to 3rd in the standings at the last round on the Tony Maunders Racing Suzuki is now 2012 Champion Jamie Skuse who will be looking to close in on the leading two. Currently lying 4th in the standings is the TwoNineTwo/Factory Touch St Blazey Honda of James Dodd who has started to shine recently, but right on his heels is 4 times winner John May on the St Blazey Husqvarna who is pretty quick at Garlands and will be looking to do well. Other Experts looking to shine will include the likes of D S C Kawasaki pairing of Tommy Alba and Sunny Thompson, Luke Dean on the Bike Station/Meredith Mx Suzuki, the Poole Yamaha of Terry House, fellow Phoenix Tools Rocket Honda riders Kelvin Townsend and Ben Butler, Sam Gabriel, Ben Hunt, Tom Moore, Ryan Redwood plus many others.
Also featured at Garlands will be the popular Over 35, Over 40’s and 50’s Championship which is stacked with talent from the past including the likes of Nick Life, Jamie Deadman, Stephen Elford, Rob Lewis, Steve Locke, Chris Brown, Martyn Tucker, Mark Gleadhill, Keith Hanson plus many more.
In the Junior Championship its Jack Stevens who heads the standings from Lewis Barfoot, but things are getting tight behind these two between Jordan King and Bradley Barfoot but there is many others who can cause an upset.
Garlands Moor has excellent viewing and easy parking and will be signposted from Brandis Corner on the A3072 Holsworthy to Hatherleigh Road (Postcode EX22 7XY) with the first race at 10-30am.
