Midshires Grasstrack Club (MGTC) have been working hard during the close season in preparation for their event being held on Sunday May 12th (1pm start) at Ashorne (CV33 9QL) the home of Leamington VMCC.
The Master of Midshires has been gathering momentum over the few years it has been in existence & is now firmly established in the Grasstrack calendar as an event that riders & spectators alike look forward to with keen anticipation.
Exceptional amounts of rain scuppered last years event like many other outdoor activities & MGTC are hoping for better weather this year. Drainage work has been implemented at the Victory Field which should help with average amounts of wet weather in the future.
MGTC have again been very well supported by sponsors who have allowed them to install attractive prize money for all classes. Rider & spectator entry fees have remained the same for the 6th year running plus children under the age of 16 enter free.
Although there are 10 weeks until the event riders have been keen to put pen to paper. Early solo entries include;Tim Nobes/Danny Warwick/Josh Dingle/Dave Radley/James Shanes/Adam Filmer/Wayne Barrett.
1000cc sidecars; Rod Winterburn/Paul Whitelam/Neal Owen/John Hiscock/Matt Fumerola/Simon Heal.
The club are working hard to secure another first class line up and are confident that the entry list will continue to grow over the forthcoming weeks leading up to the event.
