Team GB Prepare to contest for National Honours on Two, Three and Four Wheels

This weekend Team GB will be competing in both the Motocross of Nations at Ernee in France, while the Sidecar and Quad teams will both be contesting at the Sidecar Cross of Nations and Quad Cross of Nations at Cingoli in Italy.

The 2023 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations is set to take place in Ernée, which is known for its passionate and electrifying crowd, and the Raymond Demy circuit has a rich history of hosting prestigious motocross events, including memorable Motocross of Nations races in 2005 and 2015. The circuit’s iconic start, surrounded by a wall of enthusiastic spectators is simply impressive while Ernée’s atmosphere is renowned, characterized by tightly-packed fans encircling the track, creating an electrifying and legendary atmosphere.

The event is anticipated to draw a massive crowd, and the passionate fans will be a driving force behind the teams’ performances, ensuring a spectacular off-road show. The 2023 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations is a must-see event, featuring 38 Nations, the world’s top motocross riders which guarantee an exhilarating weekend.

Team GB will be Ben Watson (MXGP), Josh Gilbert (MX2) and Conrad Mewse (MX Open) and face a tough challenge against a number of strong teams. British Champion Conrad Mewse is determined to prove his speed for his country, Josh Gilbert will fight hard all day on the MX2 machine and Ben Watson will lead the team British colours as he showed with a win in his class at the 2021 event. 

At Cingoli the Team GB Sidecar Team will be looking for a strong result following Team GB’s silver medal performance at last year’s event. The team line up for this year includes Brett Wilkinson / Joe Millard, Dan Foden / Ryan Humphrey and Jake Brown / Josh Chamberlain. Team Manager Dan Chamberlain commented “Overall, we have a very strong team that is heading to a Circuit that lends itself to the three teams that have been selected and we aim to be battling for a podium position and the victory.

Team GB Quadcross of Nations side of Harry Walker, Dafydd Davies and Murray Graham being picked to represent their Nation. The trio were in good form at the home round of the European Quadcross Championships at Cusses Gorse, with Walker taking a moto win and claiming the British Championship title for 2023. Team GB will be looking to improve on their 8th place in the Czech Republic last year.
