Nathan Watson and Bryan Mackenzie victorious at the MX Nationals second round

FatCat Moto Parc, in Doncaster, was the setting for round two of the 2014 MX Nationals this past weekend. Once again, great racing was witnessed by all, as a majority of the classes were thoroughly entertaining. Of course, the track got very rough by the end of the weekend, as you would expect, so it was a great test of both rider and machine.

The third round of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship heads to Foxhill near Swindon on Sunday 27th April. With two rounds of the championship already in the bag, the action on the track couldn’t be any closer.

The 2014 British Youth Nationals kicked off the season at Fat Cat Moto Parc this past weekend in fine style. Riders from all corners of the UK started to arrive on Friday evening in anticipation of two days of great racing ahead.

Marshals required for the British Grand Prix at Matterley Basin

On the 24th and 25th May, the FIM Monster Energy World Motocross Championship will be taking place at the Matterley Basin circuit in Winchester and the ACU are looking for people who would like to Marshal during the course of the two day event. This year the event will go back to its original format over two race days and will include MXGP, MX2, EMX 250, EMX 300 and EMX 150 Cup.

Dates and venue announced for Motorcycle Off-Road Experience 2014

The group behind the Motorcycle Off-Road Experience (MORE) is giving another 400 people the chance to try off-road riding for the first time. A four day mini ‘try out’ festival will be held at the AMCA’s track - Bevercotes in Nottinghamshire, between Friday June 20th and Monday June 23rd.

Name Change for the ACU British Evo Series

The ‘Dave Thorpe Evo Series’ will change its name to the ‘ACU BRITISH EVO SERIES’ with immediate effect.  There has been no fall out between the ‘Three time world champion’ and the series promoters but both feel the time is right to remove Dave Thorpe’s name form the series.

Cottrell Shines in Blaxhall Sunshine

A sunny Mothering Sunday saw the Woodbridge & DMCC hold their first motocross meeting of the 2014 season at the Blaxhall circuit near Woodbridge. With a bumper line up of nearly 160 riders across four different classes, including a strong Expert group consisting of a number of National riders as well as the opening round of the NGR championship for over 30's.

Warnia takes victory at Round 2 at Grittenham

European champion Jeremie Warnia put in a special guest appearance at round two of the NORA MX championships at Grittenham on Sunday and lived up to all the pre-event hype with a fine overall win in the Expert class.
