The MX Nationals season moved forward this past weekend, as the penultimate round of the inaugural series took place at Preston Docks. Following a mishap involving the medics on the Saturday there was non-stop action on day two with an abundance of great racing. There were just two MX1 and MX2 motos at round seven, because of that issue.

After having finished as the bridesmaid for the last three years in the FIM Women’s Trial World Championship Britain’s Emma Bristow – Sherco will arrive in Andorra later this week for the final encounter in the 2014 series with her best chance ever of finally taking the title. Beaten by the reigning FIM Women’s Trial World Champion Laia Sanz during a dramatic last day duel last season, Bristow will only be too aware that she again faces a tense final GP if she is to realise her dream and become only the third winner of the Women’s series alongside Sanz and Iris Kramer.

Last Sunday the Phoenix Tools Premier Motocross Championship made its way back into Wiltshire to Cusses Gorse for round 8 in the series. The track as it was for the British Championship round prior had been prepped to perfection and was heavily dosed with water early morning to produce some really good racing.
