Simpson and Anstie Confirmed for MXON in France

The Blaxhall Circuit near Woodbridge marked the start of the second half of the season when Round 5 of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship powered by Skye Energy took place and even a mix of sunshine and showers didn’t deter the large number of spectators who descended on the Suffolk venue.

Welsh teenager Dafydd Davies continued his domination of the ACU Clubman Championship at the NORA club’s sixth championship round at Grittenham on Sunday, but he was forced to produce one of the rides of the season in the final race of the day to secure his victory.

ACU forced to change date.

With the FIM and Youthstream making a last minute change to the World Championship dates, ACU Events Ltd have been forced to change the date  of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship round which was scheduled for August 23rd.

The third round of the MAXXIS British Sidecarcross championships took place yesterday at Milton Moto Park hosted by ACU Events Ltd. With no rain in the week leading up to the weekend the track was very dry on Saturday but some heavy rain and many hours of watering by the organisers made sure that dust did not become a problem.
ACU Helmet Stickers

The minimum requirement for a UK rider to take part in an ACU event is for the helmet to have a Silver or Gold ACU sticker for off-road events and a Gold ACU Sticker for events on tarmac or other hard surface.  Helmets are independently tested prior to receiving the appropriate sticker approval, in addition to any statutory approval required (CE22.05).  Trials competitors may use any appropriate helmet.

The fifth round of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship powered by Skye Energy heads to the Blaxhall Circuit in Suffolk on June 28th. With the Blaxhall Circuit being a new venue to the Maxxis calendar for the 2015 season, it is sure to produce an exciting start to the second half of the season.

The third round of this year’s MAXXIS Sidecarcross championship will be held this coming weekend at Milton MX Park in Northants and will be hosted by ACU Events Ltd. This track has been included in the championship fixture list twice in the past but on both occasions it has been cancelled due to flooding. Let’s hope this is third time lucky!

Last Sunday round 4 of the Phoenix Tools Ifly Premier motocross Championship took place at the ironic Foxhill Moto Parc Nr Swindon where the heavens had opened up overnight which was to make things a bit slippery and slushy to begin with, but with the sun coming out late morning things were soon to dry and the track was to produce some brilliant racing and with the Maxxis British Championship been held at Foxhills in just 5 weeks time there were many wildcard entries.

This Castle Combe meeting is tagged the Grand National for a good reason. Not only is there the full NG series, but also the 250 GP ACU National… King of Combe National… FSRA F2 National Sidecars, and the National Historic Lansdowne series. Only at a BSB meeting will you see riders chasing more British championship titles.

Former British champion Justin Reid (number 14, above) recorded his first overall victory in the series since 2003 when he won at Cusses Gorse in Wiltshire on Sunday, and in doing so moved himself into second in this year’s series behind Paul Holmes.
