Anglesey Preview - Race Days 18 & 19 August

The NG Racing / Completely Motorbikes series for 2023 moves on to the picturesque circuit of Anglesey or more commonly known Trac Mon Anglesey Circuit.

I am going to say it must be one of the most challenging circuit NG Racing visit?

Set on the coast with views of the Irish Sea and on a good clear day views of Snowdonia National Park

Not that anyone racing will notice as the nature of the track demands absolute concentration from a series of corners and set on the natural geography of the area, it’s a bit hilly! In places.

The hairpin style corner The Banking sort of reminds me of Druids? The long section next to the sea at Church to get up speed and climb to Rocket the cause of many outbreaking manoeuvres both well executed and not so well, and down through the infamous Corkscrew and on to the finish line,

Sounds straight forward but nowhere near it when the wind is coming in off the sea and hopefully not raining as there will be titles to be decided in a number of classes

George Edwards is battling in the Open 600 and The Phoenix Open and could seal the Open this weekend

Bobby Varey is just a handful of points away from the ACU 250 title but will remember last year when a fall at Target ended that dream in 2022.

Mini Twins is getting tight and riders who have committed to the full season are starting to get rewarded with top standings in the points

But either way a win is still a win regardless and if the fickle summer weather is nice to us again it's going to be a great event.
