Two for Degroot at the 50-80cc Racing Group Round 5
David Degroot leads his SJL racing team mate Steve Lawton at the exit of Edwinas
David Degroot extended his 85cc Championship lead with two easy wins at Mallory Park this weekend.  Leading from start to finish in both races, David put on a faultless display of riding on his 85cc SJL racing prepared bike to extend his lead to 20 points with one round to go.  David also picked up a 3rd place in the 125cc class at the same time.

Steve Lawton on his SJL racing machine rode to two second places supporting his team mate and currently sits in second place  on the table.

Owen Monaghan pulled himself into 3rd place in the Championship with some great riding on an under powered 50cc reserve bike on the day.  Owen is Currently leading the CB500 EMRA Championship on his RLT racing prepared machine and is concentrating on that class whilst balancing his 85cc championship and the ACU 50cc championship rides.

2022 Scott Park 85cc champion Kerry Burton and newcomer Mackenzie Parsons both rode well on a day where we were rewarded with some great weather and excellent racing.
In addition Mackenzie Parsons and David Degroot are both tying for 2nd place in the EMRA 125cc championships on their ultra-light machinery.

With one more round to go Degroot has one hand firmly on the  85cc trophy but with 50 points available, its not quite over yet!

Next round is at Mallory at the Race of the Year meeting on Sunday the 23rd of October.
