Belgium Take the Vets MXdNFarleigh Win
Although they took a calculated risk and accepted the twenty point penalty for fielding three Evo class and one Twin shock rider, Team Belgium, masterminded by Danny Scheers, scored a close win in the 2022 Vets MXdNFarleigh Castle at the weekend. England came a close second just five points adrift, with Wales edging out one of the pre event favourites, USA, to finish third. Following the recent extremely dry spell, rain in the days leading up to the event made the conditions at the iconic circuit good for racing with over five hundred riders taking part over the weekend.

Led by ex World Champion Steve Ramon, consistency was the key to Belgium's success and although they did not finish in the top three in any of the four counting motos over the two days, Filip Van Dijk, Wim Couwberghs and Laurent Lacasse were all at the sharp end of the points of the sixty riders competing in each moto.

Brad Anderson kept Team England hopes alive with 1-1-1-2 finishes after some epic battles with USA front runner Broc Tickle which produced some of the best racing in the events history.

Glen Phillips posted two fourth place finishes amongst some big names to ensure Wales repeated their 2021 visit to the slick podium presentation at the end of the day.

Our thanks to Dave Rich for the image showing the winning team who were presented with their awards by Ellie and Bill Brown of Wulfsport who were joint Title Sponsors with EBC Brakes.

Full race results can be found on My Laps, whilst the event Media Partner, TMX have an extensive race report which is available now.
