Gold, Silver and Bronze for GB in the FIM Trial125 Championship

The ACU are pleased to congratulate the successes of Jack Dance, Harry Hemingway, and Harry Turner at the conclusion of the FIM Trial125 World Championship in France.

Arriving at the final round of the Trial125 championship at the head of the class standings, Jack Dance put in a champion’s performance in France, completing the event’s opening lap with the loss of just one mark. Remaining cool, calm, and collected throughout the all-important second lap, in dropping only four marks he ended the day with just five marks lost, 10 clear of his nearest challenger Guadi Vall. Jack’s win, added to his two other victories and two runner-up day results earlier in the series, saw him win the Trial125 title in style, 18 points ahead of runner-up Harry Hemingway.

Harry Hemingway (Beta) brought it home in fifth to ensure he ended the series in second ahead of fellow British rider Harry Turner (Scorpa) who took bronze after finishing seventh at the final event.

“It’s an amazing feeling to be the Trial125 World Champion.” said Dance. “It’s been a tough season, staying on top was hard, but my mum, dad, brother, and the whole GASGAS team have been there to support me so that has been a big help. I just concentrated on riding trial like I know how and didn’t think about becoming a world champion, because otherwise the pressure would have been too much. It was an amazing feeling coming out of section 12. I wanted to come and win, not just to secure the championship but because it’s an awesome feeling for the team and my family.”

All three riders are members of the ACU Trials Under 23 squad and have been competing at ACU events since a young age and all have a bright future ahead, along with Ben Dignan who also finished the championship inside the top 5 in fifth place.

Speaking of their achievements ACU Trial and Enduro Chairman, Mick Wren commented ‘I’m absolutely delighted to see Jack, and the two Harry’s get the rewards they deserve for the hours of dedicated effort and practice they have put in. Also well done to their parents who are as always, the number one sponsors and it’s great to see tangible results coming from the assistance our younger riders receive from the ACU squad system. The best news is there’s more in the pipeline.’
